 What do I have to hand. Embarking on R&D program  I have to hand: - the initial aims of the project - in an arts council bid - more later. These have developed since the submission of the application. Summarised now as "explore and develop a set of wooden sculptures that have sound, touch feel, visual and symbolic beauty.  This was my favorite piece of work from Berlin.  It said the pencil points were balanced but I suspect glue was involved.  It reminds me of a quote from the scupltor Richard Wentworth. Richard Wentworth said: 'I find cigarette packets folded up under table legs more monumental than a Henry Moore . Five reasons. Firstly the scale. Secondly, the fingertip manipulation. Thirdly, modesty of both gesture and material. Fourth, its absurdity and fifth, the fact that it works.' I wasn't sure what you didn't want me to comment on today as I drove your rubbish to the tip but I share your concern that our initial attempts to talk about the project and build a mezzanine were not quite right.  Although I think some good ideas did come out.  My first question is for you to say what was you didn't feel was working and write it on here (nicely as its my birthday) - I think it was something about the creative/aesthetic decisions on the making of the things you are about to m...
